This ring is made with a perfectly orbicular Ocean Jasper cabochon. Ocean Jasper is becoming more and more rare because it is only found in one mine in Madacascar, and that mine was shut down for years after it caved in. I have also heard that it was only accessible when the tide was low. Either way, I try to get my hands on Ocean Jasper whenever I can because I love how each piece looks completely unique.
